ELECTROLYSIS 

 PRIOR TO YOUR ELECTROLYSIS  

Please ensure you are not attending the salon with any current COVID - 19 symptoms. 
 
Electrolysis is a permanent method of hair removal using short wave diathermy. 
This type of hair removal can be used on both light or dark hairs. 
Prior to your first treatment we would invite you to the salon to have a consultation and patch test prior to receiving  
a full treatment for both hair removal and advanced electrolysis. 
This ensures your healthy to have the treatment and that you will not have a reaction to treatment. 
Your consultation is FREE. 
 
No sunbed. 
Do not exfoliate. 
Try and leave hairs to grow a little (2mm - 3mm) before attending your FREE consultation.

LOOK AFTER YOURSELF! 

It is important that you look after the treat area post treatment.  
Do not touch or pick the treated area – this may cause an infection. 
Avoid these points for 24 hours: 
• Hot shower/bath 
• Sun Bed/UV Rays 
• Sauna/Jacuzzi 
• Fake Tan Products 
• Make – Up 
• Further Facial or Body Beauty Treatments over the area 
• Excessive Exercise 
• Do not exfoliate your skin or using exfoliating products. E.g. AHA’s 
• Do not use perfumed products 
• Apply the recommended cream by your therapist 
• Do not shave, tweeze or use depilatory creams – this will encourages the hair growth. Only cut the hair or use the correct bleaching agent recommended by your Beauty Therapist. 
Potential Complications 
Lack of attention and aftercare may give infection, please follow aftercare and do not touch area especially with dirty hands this will cause bacteria.  
Chlorine will cause an adverse reaction, sunbathing will rise the heat leaving skin tender. 
Applying make up with block pores and could cause spots and slowing healing and calming process.  
Do not pick area or fiddle with area – you don’t want to cause scarring.  
Follow your therapist’s advice on your treatment intervals.  
If you’re general health changes or your prescribed new medication please let us know. 
A normal reaction to Electrolysis is erythema (redness of the skin) and slightly raised.
